I appreciate an insight-oriented approach to counseling. This approach seeks to help us as individuals understand some of our underlying motivations concerning why we “act” the way we do. Additionally, it seeks to connect our past circumstances to present patterns of relating and coping. When we as individuals grow in our awareness of what is underneath our thoughts, feelings, and actions we are able to choose to do things differently in the future. This awareness in addition to the therapeutic relationship allows us to have experiences of increased mental freedom, greater capacity to tolerate frustration, and improved ability in navigating and enjoying relationships.

In addition to my appreciation for insight-oriented therapy, my seminary training at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary has equipped me to walk alongside individuals looking to integrate their faith in a holistic way.
