Claire Gouch LCMHCA, NCC

Claire is Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a Masters of Arts of Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She works with children (5+), teens, and young adults on a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. By fostering a safe relationship where clients can be free to be honest and open with themselves, she works to facilitate healing in children and their families through child-centered play therapy and with teens and young adults through a depth-oriented approach including Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. She firmly believes that clients are doing the best that they can to cope with the pain they are dealing with. Therapy is a place to explore the darkest parts of themselves, have someone to witness their pain, and offer them hope in the midst of a seemingly hopeless situation. It is through this that clients can more fully understand themselves and start to love who they are. In addition, children also need to be felt and seen by another, and it is her hope to offer this to them as they process big feelings and learn more about themselves. She aims to support parents in doing this for their own children as well so they can succeed after therapy. Claire looks forward to meeting you and accompanying you on your journey towards healing!
